The challenge
Solgeko knows how to turn a genuine hiring need into a recruitment search. The most costly part was identifying that need, at the right moment, and doing so systematically.
Before RecruitScout, business development relied primarily on cold calling and local prospecting. The team identified potentially interesting companies, looked for the right contact and tried to start a conversation by phone, email or in person.
Riccardo Corazza, Managing Director of Solgeko, explained it this way before getting started:
“150 calls could generate 15–20 meetings in one week, and then just 2 the following week. It wasn't so much about ability or the effectiveness of the script, but about being lucky enough to reach the right person at the right time, when they were hiring.”
Solgeko had also identified SMEs as a particularly attractive segment. These companies may only hire a few people each year, but every hire matters to them, and they often do not receive the same level of attention from larger recruitment agencies that focus on high-volume clients.
The objective was simple: stop having salespeople spend their time looking for companies that might need Solgeko, and let them focus on speaking with companies that are already hiring.
The solution
RecruitScout connected Solgeko's business development activity directly to new hiring needs in the market.
Unlike a simple job alert system, RecruitScout does not just flag a new vacancy and leave the salesperson to find and contact the right person.
As well as identifying the decision-maker, RecruitScout also automatically starts the outreach via email and LinkedIn.
This reduces the risk of reaching a company after other recruiters have already contacted them or secured the search.
As the number of opportunities increased, Solgeko progressively expanded the setup to additional members of the team and divided activity by territory, allowing each salesperson to focus directly on companies in their assigned area.
The sales team can now focus on handling meeting requests and turning an existing hiring need into a commercial relationship.
The results
The first opportunities arrived within just a few days.
After only 8 days, Riccardo reported 10 meetings already held, another 2 scheduled, 5 vacancies assigned, and 3 additional companies negotiating terms.
Riccardo described those early results as:
“A great start, especially considering that we had only been up and running for 8 calendar days and it was already the second half of July.”
Between July 15th and September 30th 2026, despite a 1-month break for the summer holidays, Solgeko recorded:
- 47 meetings held
- 20 companies that entrusted Solgeko with at least 1 recruitment search
- 31 searches opened
In other words, Solgeko is now converting 42% of its meetings into new clients (20 companies out of 47 meetings), with each new client entrusting over 1.5 vacancies in the first 2 months of working together.
The result combines 2 factors: the commercial ability of the Solgeko team and the ability to start conversations when a company already has a concrete hiring need.
Testimonial
“Before RecruitScout, our salespeople were calling companies hoping to find one that happened to have a hiring need at that moment. They could make 150 calls in a week and book 15–20 meetings, and then book just 2 the following week. There was a lot of luck involved. And many of those meetings were simply introductory conversations.
With RecruitScout, my salespeople don't have to find companies, make cold calls or send emails. We receive responses from companies with a genuine need for a role that is relevant to us; we book the meeting and show up.
Between July 15 - September 30th, we held 47 meetings and opened 31 vacancies for 20 new clients, despite taking a month off in August for the summer holidays.
We are converting 42% of the meetings from RecruitScout into new clients because we are reaching companies at the right time and with roles that are relevant to us.”
